Twenty years ago vampires were outed to the human population. After bloody battles and huge losses on both sides, there is now peace, but it is brittle and could easily be broken. The Breed warriors and their mates stand on the side of peace, helping protect both races from chaos. Mira is a Breedmate who has risen in the ranks as a warrior to be watched. But her vigilant support of her kind (and their cause) will be called into question when it pits her against Kellan, a rogue Breed warrior who was her childhood love.
