О премии

Книжная премия «Парящий орёл» - американская награда для авторов
лучших книг, выбранных учащимися 7 -12 классов штата Вайоминг.

Премия появилась в 1989 году. Она была организована и спонсируется Библиотечной ассоциацией Вайоминга и Советом по чтению штата.

Награда даёт возможность молодёжи Вайоминга выбрать любимую книгу и почтить ее автора.

Каждый школьник, желающий поучаствовать в выборе лауреата премии, должен прочитать не менее трёх книг из предложенного списка лучших книг предыдущего года, после чего отдать свой голос за понравившуюся книгу.

Книга, набравшая больше всего голосов, объявляется победителем.
