That was just wonderful. Even better than I had expected and certainly better than the annotation describes it. Actually, I did a minimal research on Marie Curie’s biography before I got to the play itself, but really you don’t have to. The text is admirably written and gives you probably a better idea of Curie’s and Ayrton’s lives than an extensive biographical article. Dry facts are difficult to process, you know, if not lubricated with emotion. I will not deny that I was mostly interested in the play because of Kate Mulgrew, but it is in fact a three-edged masterpiece created by both actresses and the playwright where all parties are peer.
