The result is independent of effort

In most areas of activity, the result is not proportional to the effort put in. A good result is not always a lot of work, and a lot of work does not always produce the desired result.

Recall the Greek myth of Sisyphus: he rolled a stone up a mountain until it failed, and had to start over. Unoptimized activity often resembles Sisyphus' labor: long, painful and useless. The upshot of this myth: tedious work is not always good work.

Try working less but getting better results.
Even this post is an example. I write it quickly, without perfecting it, to capture an idea and share a thought. If I took a long time to formulate my posts, they would be better in form, but the focus might get lost.

Think back to your high school years: was the subject you took the longest to prepare the most? Chances are, you excelled in what was easy for you (even if others failed at that task).

My point is that a properly applied force is like hitting a soccer ball: hit that point and you get the best results. The point is to find the "core" of your exercise - the point where minimal effort yields maximum benefit. And then - hit this point!
A little physics: the applied force is distributed over the area where the force is applied. Apply force to one point - and you get a concentrated result!

So, it is important not only to hit hard, but to hit to the right point. A good result is not always a lot of work.
