Историческая премия Марка Линтона (Mark Lynton History Prize) ежегодно присуждается за книгу, посвящённую любой исторической теме, которая наилучшим образом сочетает в себе интеллектуальные особенности и свободу выражения.

Премия присуждается Фондом журналистики Нимана при Гарвардском университете и Школой журналистики Колумбийского университета. Денежное сопровождение премии составляет 10000 долларов США.

Премия названа в честь Марка Линтона, беженца из нацистской Германии, офицера Второй мировой войны и руководителя автомобильной промышленности.
В 1939 году Линтон, будучи немецким студентом еврейского происхождения, изучающим историю в Кембридже, был арестован и помещён в лагерь для задержанных в качестве вражеского иностранца, подозреваемого в сочувствии нацистам. Когда Линтон был освобожден, он присоединился к британской армии, стал командиром танка, а затем получил звание майора оккупационной армии Рейна.
Марк Линтон описал свою биографию в книге "Accidental Journey: A Cambridge Internee's Memoir of World War II".
Премия была учреждена его женой, Марион, детьми Лили и Майклом , и внуками Люсиндой, Элоизой Линтон и Мэйси Линтон, в честь Марка Линтона, который был заядлым читателем исторической литературы. Семья Марка Линтона спонсирует премию с момента её учреждения в 1998 году.
