Die »Villa Rosen«, ein neoklassizistisches Landhaus, wird 1908 von dem später zu Weltruhm gelangenden Architekten Max Taubert für einen Professor Adam Rosen und seine Frau Elsa entworfen. Als Frieder und Hannah Lekebusch Mitte der Neunzigerjahre das Haus am Rande des Berliner Grunewalds entdecken, erliegen sie seinem verwunschenen Charme. In einer aufwendigen Restaurierung stellen sie den Originalzustand des Hauses wieder her, und schnell wird die neu erstrahlende Villa als »Kleinod der Vormoderne« zum Pilgerort für Taubert-Fans, Künstler*innen und einflussreiche Journalist*innen. Und mehr und mehr zum Spielball der Interessen. Sie wollten den alten Geist des Hauses wiedererwecken, doch mit denAuswirkungen des Ruhms und dem langen Schatten der Vergangenheit haben die Lekebuschs nicht gerechnet.

In Transportation in a Climate-Constrained World, the authors present the first integrated assessment of the factors affecting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from passenger transportation. They examine such topics as past and future travel demand; the influence of personal and business choices on passenger travel's climate impact; technologies and alternative fuels that may become available to mitigate GHG emissions from passenger transport; and policies that would promote their adoption. And most important, taking into account all of these options, they consider how to achieve a more sustainable transportation system in the next thirty to fifty years.

Alles wird gut. – Warum man Kindern heute noch diesen B?ren aufbindet, ist schwer zu erkl?ren. Am wahrscheinlichsten ist, dass es sich um eine simple Kompensation handelt – der Tatsache n?mlich, dass dem eben gerade *nicht* so ist! Glaubt man dem Volksmund, dem man ansonsten eher misstrauen sollte, kommt nichts Besseres nach. &t;br/&t; Die Erkenntnis, dass Freiheit nichts mit der Freiheit, alles Gew?nschte konsumieren zu k?nnen, zu tun hat, ist in den meisten K?pfen noch lange nicht angekommen. Gerade China ist der beste Beweis daf?r, dass die Erzeugung von Demokratie durch Handel nicht funktioniert. Die Entwicklungen haben begonnen. Nicht erst gestern. Wir sind bereits mittendrin. Die Autoren, die sich an dieser Anthologie beteiligt haben, kamen zum selben Schluss. Vielen ist offenbar bewusst, dass der eingeschlagene Weg seine T?cken haben wird. Nun mag die Titelwahl dieser Sammlung eine gewisse Ausrichtung nahegelegt haben – die eifrige Beteiligung spricht f?r eine empfundene Dringlichkeit. &t;br/&t; … nicht nur, den Anf?ngen zu wehren!
